Dr. Atindra Sarvadikar's Academy of Music (A.S.A.M.) is a planned project of Dr. Atindra Sarvadikar. This academy aims to offer fruitful music training to learners and lovers of Indian Music. It's a very proud feeling that this academy is a branch of Dr Prabha Atre Foundation’s Swarmayee Gurukul. Swaramayee Gurukul is founded by Guru Dr Prabha Atre at Pune and it was inaugurated on 15th April 2003 by Bharatratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi. It aims at bridging the prevailing gap between academic institutions and the traditional guru-shishya paramparaa. The institution endeavours to fulfil socio-cultural commitments. Swaramayee Gurukul is listed among the recognised institutes of ICCR. We are trying to follow our Guru's footsteps through Dr Atindra Sarvadikar's Academy of Music (A.S.A.M.)

Similar to the Guru-Shishya parampara Dr ATINDRA SARVADIKAR'S ACADEMY (A.S.A.M) is offering pre-planned morning riyaaz hours under the observation of Guru and as per need of today’s fast-paced life, recorded lessons, guiding videos (Bandish, Alankars, info of ragas, talas, riyaz techniques, self-learning modules etc), and other required material will be available. Like the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara where a unique mentor-ship was provided to each individual, the Dr ATINDRA SARVADIKAR’S ACADEMY OF MUSIC (A.S.A.M.) is putting a humble and sincere effort to relive these key aspects of Indian tradition in today’s context.

In current times where music classes are conducted solely on a commercial basis with a focus on mere completion of syllabus and passing only music exams, most of the time students are left directionless and generally, they give up music in few years after passing these exams. Students are given minimal guidance about entering the performance circuit and pursuing music sustainably. They are rarely taught how to enjoy music! In such a scenario, Dr ATINDRA SARVADIKAR’S ACADEMY OF MUSIC (A.S.A.M.) aims to introduce students to an enjoyable and sustainable path in music. At the Academy, we work hard to give you a high-quality learning experience with a clear path of progression and well-defined milestones.
